Stanley Xmas

We had our annual Williamson/Bloor family Christmas get together. You enjoyed playing with Mummy’s second cousin, Adam’s son and daughter. We also got to see Mummy’s Aunty Karen and Uncle Chris and you made sure they know how much you’ve been practicing your swimming ready for going and staying in their Spanish house.

Pitch N Put or ‘Gone’

Today we went to see Grandma and Grandad to tell them all about our holiday. Grandad said he fancied a game of pitch and put and seeing as the weather was so lovely we decided we’d join them too. You were too little to join in, but that was ok because you played a new game in your pushchair as we went round. We call it ‘gone’. It involves throwing things away and then looking at us and telling us its gone. The clip below shows you playing the game with your bib.

Daddy liked the look of your game and joined in with ‘gone’ on a few occasions around the pitch n put course by hitting his ball into the bushy undergrowth of a tree and then all the way over a hedge……!

First birthday party

Today was all about…you! Yesterday had obviously worn you out as you had a one hour lie in. The first present you had was a tricycle from both of us, you seemed to like it.

Mummy and I worked very hard on your cake, I was the baker and mummy was the chief decorator, we decided early on that we wanted to recreate your wooden walker and we were quite happy with the results.

Lots of people came to your party, including some of your friends from the NCT group. Everyone was excited to see you toddling around the room and eating ham and mustard sandwiches.

As we had so many family members there we were able to take pictures of four generations of Mummy and Daddy’s families.

As well as your tricycle Mummy and Daddy bought you a duck charm for your Pandora bracelet, Grandma & Grandad bought you a farm and a push along duck, Nana & Grandad got you a dolls house and some books, Aunty Cath got you a noisy crocodile, Uncle Emlyn got you a penguin needing a cuddle and Uncle Tim got you Clothes and more books. You even got a posh Harrods teddy, he is very cuddly!

I do like to be becide the seaside

It’s been an exciting day, your first at the beach! We went with Grandma and Grandad to Mablethorpe and  met up with Yvonne, Graham, Gill and Edgar. Here is you, Mummy and Grandma outside the beach hut, it’s windy!

You enjoyed playing on the sand and only tried to eat it once, thankfully you didn’t like the taste and so it didn’t happen again. You were a lucky girl because Yvonne went and bought you a bucket and spade so that you could build sandcastles.

Grandad was very excited when he spotted the train and insisted on having a ride, you and Mummy went and kept him company whilst Grandma and I held the bags and took some photos.

Your first visitors

Everybody was very excited to hear about your arrival, both sets of Grandparents were desperate to meet you, Grandma and Grandad came to see you first (they also wanted to check on how mummy was because she was a bit poorly after having you. They were pleased that you were both doing well.

Nana and Grandad were equally pleased to see you, when daddy phoned them to tell them that you had arrived they hadn’t been to sleep yet! Mummy spent a few days in hospital so that the midwives could check that you were both fit and healthy. This meant that there were opportunities for even more people to visit……
